Questions

About schema markup

What is schema markup?

A small block of code that describes your page in a format search engines read directly: your business name, address, hours, phone number, or the questions on an FAQ page. It helps Google show those details in results and on Maps, and helps AI assistants describe your business correctly.

Where do I paste the code?

Anywhere in the page’s HTML; the <head> is the usual place. In WordPress, use your SEO plugin’s schema setting or a header-code plugin. Put the local business markup on your home or contact page, and FAQ markup only on the page that shows those questions.

Does schema markup improve rankings?

Not directly. It makes your listing clearer and can make it richer (hours, ratings, sitelinks), which tends to win more clicks. For local businesses it also backs up your Google Business Profile with consistent details.

Is my data sent anywhere?

No. The code is generated in your browser as you type. Nothing is sent to our servers.
